What the Seller Has to Say!

We love living in Clemmons- it's small and family friendly, with a strong sense of community.

We love having Tanglewood Park and quick access to all the walking trails, playgrounds, the new dog park, and seasonal activities held there such as the corn maze or the Festival of Lights.  Shopping and restaurants are plentiful. Clemmons is centrally located and offer quick access to all areas of the triad. Our neighborhood is simply beautiful. Homes are well maintained, and it's safe and calm. (And social!) We trick-or-treat with neighbors, meet up at the pool and playground, and get together for dinner or grilling out in the summer. People are friendly and wave to say Hello! We know and look out for each other. For a nice dinner out we love to visit 2520 Tavern, and also enjoy Chang Thai's sushi, Villa Grill (anything here is fantastic!) and Milner Brothers (true southern inspired cuisine in a trendy/fun atmosphere). There are great, quick/delivery options, (Illiano's NY style pizza, Athena Greek Pita, No. 1 China) right here in town.

Grocery stores are very convenient and plentiful in this area. Harris Teeter is located closest in proximity to our home and offers an excellent selection of produce and international foods. We shop most often at Lowes Foods- it was just fully renovated (beautifully!) It includes an upscale deli/prepared foods section, great produce (including local organic options), and a great wine/beer selection, with regular tastings.

There are also new shopping venues and restaurants coming to the area within the next couple of years. A new Wal-Mart Express neighborhood grocery store will be opening soon, offering Clemmons residents more options and convenience.

We purchased this home for a variety of reasons. When we pulled into the driveway of our home for the first time, we loved the feel, and loved what we saw. Especially the great curb appeal, fenced in backyard, manicured landscaping, and the huge driveway. Inside met all our wish-list items-built-ins, a large bright family room, open feeling great for entertaining, the finished basement is such a treat, and there is no lack of storage. One of our favorite features of our home is the beautiful crown molding throughout. We are complimented on it w/new visitors all the time!

Schools were a big consideration to us, and Clemmons offered some of the best around! With backgrounds in education, my husband and I both insisted on finding a town with the best possible schools for our kids. Clemmons Elementary has an excellent reputation and scores to support it, Morgan Elementary is a newer but has also already earned a great reputation. There are also great middle school options, and West Forsyth High school was recently named the second best performing High School in the state!

We decided on this area after considering other neighborhoods in Advance, Lewisville and Winston Salem. We loved the small-town feel with convenient amenities. We could tell the pace of life would be just right for our growing family.
