What the Seller has to Say:

The things I love about Lewisville are: friendly, close to a bigger city, rural location, and progressing community and government.

My neighborhood is great if you want a family environment, walking, running, biking, exercising pets, or waving at neighbors as they pass by. It is quiet neighborhood that is respectful of your privacy, and it does have a community watch program.

When I bought the property I was drawn to the small town atmosphere, rural country side location, and the positive community/local government that keeps its citizens in the loop.

We love Alex's Grill and Liberty restaurant. We also have a local pub, a great pizza restaurant, and a Chinese take-out restaurant. Pig Pickings BBQ is the best. There are no fast food places. Close by we have Dairy-O, Dunkin Doughnuts, Cracker Barrel, and a Mexican Restaurant in Clemmons.

I love to shop at Food Lion and Lowes Grocery. Close by we also have a Walmart Grocery or you can go to Clemmons to the local fruit and vegetable stand.

I was attracted to the location of this area because it was close to a big city, the mountains, and within 4-5 hours to the beach. It is a small town with only one stop light. Lewisville Elementary, West Forsyth High, and Meadowlark Middle are all excellent schools. We have two great parks, a town square, many community celebrations including our famous 4th of July fireworks, and our local parade at Christmas. Our fire department is fantastic. We have two banks and a public library.

When my children were young they were members of the local scouting program, t-ball, and soccer team. We enjoy attending our local Moravian church. There are several community pools, another park close by with a pond to fish in or to picnic, and a river landing that offers boating and fishing

There are walking trails at our new park and plenty of playground equipment for children to play on at both parks. There are also a few horse farms for training and boarding.

My average utility costs are much better than I expected. I have Duke Electric for electricity with an average bill of $140 a month. I use Suburban Propane for my natural gas with an average bill of $70 a month. Our water and sewage is provided by the city of Winston-Salem and Waste Management provides our garbage collection and recycling. The average cost ranges between $30-42 monthly. TWC is my cable and internet service.

What the Seller has to Say

When we first bought the property we were drawn to the easy access to downtown, safe neighborhood, quality of house, and closeness to shopping and hospitals. Things we love about Winston-Salem are the climate, active downtown, growth of hospital and high tech business, arts, parks, restaurants, and sporting events

We really enjoy daily walks through the beautiful streets in the Admore Historic Area, and visiting local art and historical locations such as Reynolda House and Old Salem.

In our neighborhood, we enjoy the following restaurants: Quiet Pint, 1st Street Bar and Grill, P,B's Takeout, Wendy's, Mario's Pizza and Panera Bread.

We have many fine grocery stores within a mile of our house: Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Trader Joe's, Whole foods. Also most other types of stores like drugstores, a hardware store, clothing stores, etc.

There are also numerous parks like Salem Lake, Many vineyards to visit, and proximity to other areas such as mountains and seacoast.

Utility costs are quite reasonable: City Water, Sewer, and trash average about $30/month, Piedmont gas averages about $57/month, and Duke electric about $65/month.

What the Owner has to Say:

There are so many wonderful things about Lexington! It is the home of great barbecue, good restaurants and is nicely situated between Winston-Salem and Charlotte and close to the mountains. There are many wonderful adventures within a few hours of our driveway. Asheville is a little over 2 hours. Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock are easy day trips from here.

We love that we are so close to downtown Winston, Kernersville and Greensboro. We have easy access to great shopping and dining.

We love to eat at El Paisano, Miyako, Chic-fil-A, Hungry Howie's and TCBY. But we are so close to Winston Salem and Lexington that it is also easy to run into town for dinner. There are also several grocery stores close to the house; Food Lion, Lowes Foods and Walmart are only minutes away.

Our neighborhood is very picturesque and we were drawn to the look and size of the community. It is also wonderful to not have the responsibilities of a lawn! We love to spend evenings and weekends on the porch. We enjoy walking down to the creek that runs behind the property and walking in the field. This neighborhood is nice for walking your dog, chatting with neighbors, driveway parties or quiet relaxation.

Davidson County has excellent schools and our neighborhood is in the North Davidson feeder pattern. There is also a private Christian school, Union Grove, within minutes of the neighborhood.

We have been pleased overall with the costs of utilities here. North Davidson Garbage Service currently provides weekly pickup for garbage and recycling for $55 quarterly. Piedmont Natural Gas varies monthly - depending on the usage, but our bill averages $35-$60 monthly. Energy United is our electricity provider and our average bill is $65, but this also varies with the temperature. North Davidson Water provides water and septic. that bill averages $30 a month. Our monthly HOA fees are currently $125 and include lawn maintenance.
